The Web Boys — Fairhope, Alabama

The fine print

Plain-English terms.
No gotchas.

This is how working with us works — what you can count on from us, and what we ask from you. Written like we talk, because that's the whole point.

Effective August 17, 2026 · Questions? Call Patrick — that's always the answer here.

The deal

Every project starts with a real conversation and ends with a flat, written quote that lists what we're building and what it costs. That quote is the deal: the price we give you is the price you pay for the work described.

Everything on this page applies to every project — unless we've agreed to something different for your job. If we put it in writing together, that's what we honor.

Paying us

Half down, half at go-live. A 50% deposit gets your build started, and the remaining 50% is due when your site goes live — unless we've agreed to different terms for your project. Small jobs like quick fixes or single add-ons may simply be billed in full when the work is done; we'll tell you which applies before any money moves.

You can pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay through our secure Stripe payment link. Card details go to Stripe, never to us.

What's included — and what costs extra

Your quote covers the work we agreed on, and we build in good faith: small tweaks, reasonable rounds of revisions, and honest back-and-forth are part of the job, not billable events. Our goal is never to nickel-and-dime you.

When a request goes meaningfully beyond the original scope — a page that wasn't in the plan, a redesign after approval, a feature we never discussed — we'll say so, quote the addition up front, and only build it once you say yes. You will never open a surprise bill from us.

Your content

You provide (or approve) the words, photos, and logos that go on your site, and you're responsible for having the right to use them. Don't have much to start with? That's normal — helping you put it together is part of what our packages and add-ons cover. Whatever you send us stays yours.

Timelines

Most starter and standard sites are live in about a week. That clock runs on both of us — we need your content and your feedback to keep moving. If things slow down on either side, nothing bad happens; the date just moves.

Ownership

Your domain is yours, always. Your content is yours, always. And once your project is paid in full, the finished website is 100% yours too — if you ever stop working with us, everything goes with you.

One thing we ask in return: we may show the work we did for you in our portfolio and on our social pages. If you'd rather we didn't, just tell us and we won't.

After launch

If something we built breaks in the first 30 days after launch, we fix it free — no questions, no invoice. After that, our optional maintenance plans cover ongoing changes, or we'll quote one-off changes simply, per job. There are no contracts; maintenance can be cancelled anytime.

If you cancel

You can walk away from a project before it goes live. If we haven't started building, you get your deposit back. If we have, the deposit covers the work already done, and we'll hand over whatever exists at that point. No cancellation fees, no hard feelings.

What we don't promise

We build fast, clean sites that are set up properly for Google — but nobody can honestly guarantee a #1 ranking, a certain number of phone calls, or specific revenue, and we won't pretend to. Anyone who does guarantee that is selling something.

Our responsibility to you is capped at the amount you actually paid us, and we're not on the hook for things outside our control — a hosting provider having a bad day, a third-party service changing its rules, or what visitors do on your site.

Accessibility

We build every site — including this one — to work for as many people as possible: readable color contrast, labels screen readers can understand, keyboard-friendly navigation, touch targets big enough for real thumbs, and motion that switches off when your device asks for reduced motion.

No website is perfectly accessible for everyone, and we won't pretend this one is. If something here (or on a site we built) doesn't work for you, tell us — patrickb@thewebboys.com or 251-463-6880 — and fixing it goes to the top of the list.

The legal-ish part

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. If something's ever wrong, call Patrick before you call anyone else — 251-463-6880. We're neighbors before we're vendors, and we fix problems like it.

Privacy

What we do with your information

What we collect

When you fill out our contact form, we get exactly what you typed: your name, business, phone, email, and message. We use it for one thing — calling you back about your project. It's stored securely with our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and emailed to the two of us. We never sell it, never rent it, and never add you to a mailing list you didn't ask for.

Payments

Payments run entirely through Stripe, the payment processor used by millions of businesses. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us — we never see it and never store it.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first tool that counts visits without cookies, without following you around the web, and without building a profile of you. No ad trackers, ever.

Fonts

Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see the standard technical details of that request (like your IP address) — the same as loading any image on the internet.

Your data

Want to know what we have on you, or want it deleted? Email patrickb@thewebboys.com and it's done.

That's the whole fine print.

If it still left a question, ask a human instead of a webpage.
